Old Fort is a Great Commission Church—Matthew 28:18-20. We take seriously Jesus’ command to make disciples of all peoples as we go our way in His world. We are also serious about being His witnesses in our community (our Jerusalem) , all peoples outside our community (our Judea) , all people groups with whom we come in contact (our Samaria) and any nation to which God may lead us (the uttermost parts of the world)— Acts 1:8.
This commitment has led the members of Old Fort to move far and wide outside the walls of the church building. There are activities from as close as the local neighborhood to other places in the States, Canada, Central and South America, Asia and there are future possibilities to reach out in Africa and Europe. For many it has meant moving way outside their comfort zones. Not only do we attempt to meet the spiritual needs of individuals and families, but also the physical and cultural. All of this is without regard to race, culture, language or any other ethnic difference.
In the following pages you will find places and activities where these Missions & Ministries are and have been taking place. There are no age limits; from children to senior adults, God is using hundreds of Followers of Jesus as His Missionaries & Missionaries.
If you are one of His, we invite and welcome you to join us as we work to help Jesus build His Kingdom.
". . . Christ's love compels us . . ." 2 Corinthians 5:14
Our prayer is to meet physical needs with the compassion of Christ and to follow the great Commission of making disciples.
The mission of the Community Impact for Christ Clinic is to serve the needs of the less privileged in Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester counties of South Carolina with the love and compassion of Christ. These needs may include physical health, physical needs (clothing, food, and structure), emotional health, and spiritual voids.
Our vision is that the Name of Christ would be glorified through the impact of lives, resources, talents and spiritual gifts offered as sacrifices before the Living God to the community.
